Introduction

In october 2003 I travelled to Cambodia.  I visited the royal palace in the capital Phnom Penh. I also visited the temples of Angkor which was the former centre of a large empire in Southeast Asia. I went down to the south coast of Cambodia - the cradle of old Khmer civilization. The people in the isolated northeastern part of the country still have a traditional way of life. Here I passed through the villages of ethnic minorities such as the Jarai and the Tompuon.

On my way I made many pictures and video recordings. Watch the pictures and videos by clicking a button in the menu on the left. By clicking the "slides" button the pictures are conveniently shown in a slide show. By clicking the "info" button you can read background information about the places I have visited. The information site contains hyperlinks to the pictures site. It is also possible to test your knowledge in a random quiz by clicking the "quiz" button.
