The music in the videoclip is played by a Naxi orchestra called Gu Yue. The music was banned during the Cultural Revolution and many instruments have been destroyed. But now there is a revival of traditional Naxi music. The music is in origin a taoist temple music or dongjing which managed to survive in Naxi culture. It represents the classical sounds of former Han periods. In local theaters the Naxi orchestras continue this musical tradition. At the same time visitors enjoy a show about traditional Dongba culture.
