This website gives information on various countries
in the Far East. On the internet there are many essays of travellers who visited
the area. In general these essays are a logbook of personal experiences and
impressions during a tourist travel. This website aims to add an extra dimension
with its information on the history and the culture of the region.
Furthermore this website contains all sorts of quizforms offering the opportunity to test one's knowledge of the Far East. Consequently this website not only offers information but education as well. The author of this website is Henk Sebregts. He was born in 1960 as the youngest son in a catholic labourer family with five children. He had his education at primary and secondary school in Roosendaal (Holland). Later he studied the science of history at a university in Amsterdam. He specialized in contemporary, social and oriental history. He graduated in 1986. Since then he visits several countries in the Far East. He prefers cultural group travels. At present Henk Sebregts is a professional coach and consultant in the field of workers' insurances. In his spare time he surfs on the internet in search of information on history and culture. Since recent times he makes his own contribution to the internet with his website on various countries in the Far East. He has also designed a website on the ancient history of different countries in the Middle East. |
