Introduction |
|
In november 1999 I travelled to Vietnam. After my arrival in Saigon I went to the Mekong river delta. Nearby is the harbour city of Vinh Long and the floating market of Cai Be. In the central highland is the "city of eternal spring" Dalat. I visited a village of the Lat tribe nearby the city. In the northern part of the country I visited the main capital Hanoi. I also visited villages of the Hmong and Zhao tribes in Sapa near the Chinese border. Hmong woman in her mountain village near Sapa On my way to the north I visited several places in the coastal area such as Nha Trang, Danang, Hoi An and the old imperial city of Hué. I also made an excursion to Phan Rang to see some historical Cham towers. Watch the pictures and videos by clicking a button in the menu on the left.
